Millenial Brow VS Gen- Z Brow
First of all, as a young and vibrant Millennial who isn't a day over 21 (wink), who knew the Gen Z population could vote, let alone lay claims to an eyebrow trend?! I, for one, am surprised but alas……here we are. As most of us know beauty trends shift and evolve literally by the day, and keeping up with what's in and what's out is a full time job within itself. So, when the topic of Millennial Brows vs Gen-z Brows came up I had to see what the tea was, because for me a soft “millennial” brow EATS every time, in my opinion.
Now I can admit that in an era of eyebrow pomades, gels, pens, and markers applied in the darkest of colors and heaviest amounts, there were obvious user errors, but the mechanics were there! Now what we’re seeing is a minimalistic “clean girl” approach to an already established technique. We really walked so Gen Z could run (Just saying!)
So what’s a Gen-Z brow?
The competitive alternative to the millennial brow, the Gen Z brow, is a fluffy laminated brow naturally filled or sculpted. It’s honestly really beautiful when executed on well groomed naturally full brows, but that's kinda where my issue comes in with this trend, it's not super inclusive! Don't get me wrong, thin/sparse brow girlies can definitely finesse their way into the Gen Z brow look but it's kinda time consuming and has a bit of a learning curve f you’re new to makeup. My philosophy is that makeup should be quick and easy not hard and overwhelming. So, I’ve hacked the system and simplified the process so that all my girlies can observe the trend without meeting the pitfalls that can sometimes come with trying new makeup techniques.
